They came together from across the city representing every school type to demand one thing: an excellence from everyone of Camden's children.

Thank you to all the parents that came out to Parents for Great Camden Schools Parent Leadership Academy Orientation today and last week! This is the first step in becoming a strong Parent Advocate Leader!
Parents for Great Camden Schools Mario Perez with Philadelphia Eagles Rodney McLeod and his organization CF charities teamed up with Yorkship Family School and OHIP to teach kids the importance of oral hygiene! Mr McLeod and Philadelphia legend DJ Diamond Kuts also gave tips on how to act, behave and study hard in school!
Parents for Great Camden Schools is proud to announce the launch of the second Parent Leadership Academy.
This eight-week interactive program was devised specifically to increase all parent’s ability to become empowered advocates for their child’s learning experience.
Work sessions provide participants with tools to feel more powerful when being involved at schools and to increase parent’s advocacy skills to better support their children’s education career.
The Parent Leadership Academy teaches parents grassroots organizing skills, builds public speaking competence and supports the overall development of change agents for the next generation.
Classes begin in February - The application process is competitive, and slots are filling up fast!

Upon completion of the training program, each cohort member will receive a $1000 stipend for their participation and have an opportunity to join the PGCS team for an eight-week paid internship.
